The Background-color-Button in calc shoud change his color to the color of the backround color of the clicked cell. but in Libreoffice 3.6.4, 4.0.0 and 4.0.2 it doesnt change the color automaticly in ever case. OpenOffice 3.4.1 dont have this problem. Tested with LO 3.6.4, 4.0.0, 4.0.2 OS: Windows XP, Vist, Debian Linux (x86)
I can reproduce it with LO 4.0.2.2, but this is not a bug, but a specific feature, so that the background color function remembers the last used color. This is very beneficial if you have to change several cells, because then you can easily adapt that background color to the other cells, because the function kepts the last used color and does not change it to the color of the current cell. It is not useful if the background color function would show the current background color of a specific cell, because you use this function especially to adapt a new color to this cell and not to see the color. If you want to see the background color of a selected cell, then you can use the following steps: 1. Right mouse click on the cell 2. Go to FORMAT CELLS... 3. Go to the tab BACKGROUND 4. The used color is framed
Okay, thank you, now i understand how i should work :) its a nice usefull function in this way. i found out, that there is another way to see the color of a specific cell: i click into one cell and open the backgroundcolor-pullup menu. but i dont choose any color and close it again. then i click into a cell that have the background i want.... now this color is active on the background-color button. very good function. ________________________________ Von: "bugzilla-daemon@freedesktop.org" <bugzilla-daemon@freedesktop.org> An: bugfinderx@yahoo.de Gesendet: 16:19 Samstag, 6.April 2013 Betreff: [Bug 63110] Background-color of cells are not recognized by the background-color-button Comment # 1 on bug 63110 from A I can reproduce it with LO 4.0.2.2, but this is not a bug, but a specific feature, so that the background color function remembers the last used color. @Bug reporter: Thanks for reporting. As "A" already said: this is a feature, not a bug :-), but I see you also found out this could be useful (in some use cases) and you found a workaround. Am I correct we can close this bug as NOTABUG?
