Created attachment 77686 [details] test file Problem description: I received a docx file by email and open it directly, so it is in "read only" mode. Steps to reproduce: 1. open the file attach to this bug report (docx file recorded with MSWord 2007) Current behavior: the tab's borders are not displayed in LibreOffice (if the file is "read only") Expected behavior: the tab's border should be displayed in LibreOffice Operating System: Ubuntu Version: 3.6.6.2 rc
I am using Fedora 18 and LO 3.6.5.2 (sorry, I don't have 3.6.6.2 available). I downloaded the file and emailed it to myself. Opened read only and the file looks the same in 3.6.5.2 and 4.2.0.2. I do notice a difference between these 2 versions and MS Office 2007 but this is the sizing of the individual boxes. Can ya get a screenshot of the problem version pls?
sorry, I was wrong about the version, so I have corrected it

As LibreOffice has multiple problems with doc(x) files, try to do the same steps with SoftMaker FreeOffice: freeoffice.com It's a new free office suite with excellent filters for Microsoft Office files of all kind.
I tested this using Writer version 4.0.3.1, and I do not experience this issue. When I open the .docx, and it is in read-only mode, I see the table borders. Are you able to install the latest version of LibreOffice? I will close this as Works for me for now, but if you still experience this issue you can reopen the bug. I tested this with Version: 4.0.3.1 (Build ID: a67943cd4d125208f4ea7fa29439551825cfb39) Platform: Ubuntu 13.04 Thank you, Brenda ------------------------------- LibreOffice is powered by a team of volunteers, every bug is confirmed (triaged) by human beings who mostly give their time for free.
