xrandr png

It shows "VGA1 connected" by xrandr with kernel 3.9.rc6, in fact, there is no external display connected.

but kernel 3.9.rc0 is OK.

Can you please bisect where this regression has been introduced. Also please attach text output _not_ as pictures, but as text.

Furthermore please attach dmesg with drm.debug=0xe for both a working kernel and a broken one.

Finally, please specify exactly which versions you have tested - 3.9-rc0 is not an official kernel version. git sha1 highly preferred.

Hi Daniel,

3.9-rc1 is OK, but 3.9-rc2 has the issue.

attachment is xrandr.log and dmesg.

Paulo, have you seen this before somewhere already?

Eva, can you please try to bisect the exact git commit between -rc1 and -rc. From the symptoms it's not really clear to me what the cause could be ...

Fyi, my preferred kernel bisect howto http://www.reactivated.net/weblog/archives/2006/01/using-git-bisect-to-find-buggy-kernel-patches/

Yes, I already got a bug report from a coworker and he even tested the fix. It's here:
