Description Alexandre Demers 2013-04-14 02:56:18 UTC
Problem description:
Commented sentences (a single character or a full sentence to which a comment was added) are considered as read-only elements and can't be deleted if they were moved or copied in the text. The comment itself can be deleted, the characters in the sentence can be deleted, but the two tags (begin and ending) can't be deleted because they are forming a read-only element.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Select a word and attach a comment on it.
2. Select the word, copy it and paste it somewhere else.
3. Try to delete the copied word.

Current behavior:
Its content can be deleted, so can be the comment itself. However, if you remove the comment, the sentence will be highlighted in grey. This can't always be deleted.

Expected behavior:
It shouldn't be considered as a read-only element and it should be possible to delete it anytime.
Operating System: Linux (Other)
Version: 4.0.2.2 release
Last worked in: 3.6.0.4 release

I can not reproduce this behavior using Linux Mint 14 x64 with LibreOffice 4.0.2.2. When I copy the commented word + the word right after it and copy it elsewhere, the comment is copied to. I can delete the copied words and comment (and content of the comment).

Kind regards,
Joren

I'll attach a file that displays the behavior soon.

Here is an example of a problematic file

I was unable to reproduce the read-only problem this time because it happens from time to time. But I was able to create the "grey background after deleting comment". As you'll see, after saving the file and reopening it, I now have comments without any date nor author that are appearing where the comments were supposedly deleted and a grey background was appearing prior saving and closing the file.
Comment 4 Joel Madero 2013-10-07 03:40:18 UTC
I am unable to reproduce the problem as stated. Marking as WFM.

LibreOffice 4.1.1.2
Ubuntu 13.04

If this is still a problem for for 4.1+ please set to UNCONFIRMED and provide clearer directions on how to reproduce. I do see the "no author" and "no date" but I'm unable to get there myself. Here were my steps

1. Testing this comment here.(comment) Then I'll write more
2. This is: (comment) Then I'll write more
3. Another go at it: (comment) Then I'll write more
4. Delete comment #3

Everything remains good.
