Hello Peppe,

Strange. I don't reproduce with LO 4.0.2.2 on Win 7. Did you try to reinstall it with a new profile? Can you provide a small sample?

Thank you,

Jacques Guilleron

Hi Jacques and thank you for your reply. Just for understand your request: should i reinstall libreoffice (on my account) or have i to create a new windows account and (in that new account) installing LO 4.0.2.2?

PS: What's the sample? (if i get your request right, the problem isn't limited to any specific formulas, but it's the GUI that doesn't work well. I inserted a formula only to make the problem more clear).

Please let me know about the reinstalling. Thank you

Hello Peppe,

For a new profile, see here:
https: //wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile

Reinstall LO sometimes solves the issues. A sample, a document allows to work with a material, even simple, which can be reproductible or not, on which others users or developpers can work, and add a comment or find a fix.

If you have any question, ask here, i will answer.

Thank you,

Jacques Guilleron

Hello,
i just tried to delete (after backing up) my user profile; i also tried to reinstall LO, but nothing changed.
I won't post any sample only because the problem is the GUI itself (it happens even with a new spreadsheet with no formulas). The problem is the behavior of the right button (the down arrow) which doesn't work properly (i would expect an expansion of the formula text box, instead it expand just a half and it's difficult make it reduce again (because the opposite button (the up arrow) isn't visible)).
Hope this helps.
Thank you

Hi Peppe,

Thank you for this work.
Do you install any special extension which could disturb the working of Calc?

you're welcome. No i didn't install any extension (i attach the extension window, i think there are all built in extension).
I only installed the italian help (but i don't think this is the problem).
I can also add that in Libre office 3.4.4 i didn't had that problem.
Please let me know if i can add other informations that could help resolving that bug. Thank you

I also can't confirm this - have you tested with 4.0.3.3 release?

Same bug than 63394, I guess
Comment 12 Joel Madero 2014-07-21 01:34:47 UTC
Hi Peppe - so I've tried confirming this on 2 machines and 2 different operating systems (Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux 14.04) and can't on either machine.

So my suggestion:
1. Please upload a simple document that this happens to you on so we can test with the same document that you see the problem.

2. Download and attempt to try LibreOffice 4.3.0.x from the pre release section to see if you still see the issue.

3. Reset your profile one more time and try with 4.3.0.x with a fresh profile

If you consistently still reproduce please upload the test document and mark the bug as UNCONFIRMED again. Apologies that it's been stagnant for over a year - just no one else can confirm the problem as of yet but we'll continue trying.
