the attached patch adds the support for the mimetype text/vnd.abc, as per IANA assignment: http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/text/vnd.abc
Created attachment 5286 [details] [review] Proposal for text/vnd.abc I used the description "abc musical notation file", maybe there's anything better I could have used?
Does anyone actually *use* that? Ie. can you show me an application that will make use of this?
Not anything I'm aware of. It's just a file format with a more or less particular purpouse. Quoting from the IANA assignment, "The ABC language was designed to transmit folk melodies via e-mail". All the KDE 3.x serie has a mimetype and a syntax highlight file for the Kate editor for this file format.
