Environment: ------------------- Kernel: (drm-intel-next-queued)6dd8224ec64c809dad5ceceac299918f5d9c7c31 Author: Ville Syrjälä <ville.syrjala@linux.intel.com> Date: Wed Jun 26 17:44:15 2013 +0300 drm/i915: Mask out hardware status bits from VLV DPLL register Description: -------------------- We got a new HSW Harris Beach ULT machine, in this kernel testing cycle, I found system can't resume from S3 but shutdown. Moreover, system response to suspend command about 10 secs, after suspend successfully, system can't resume, it just shutdown. BIOS: 130 This new HSW ULT can only use fedora 19 and BIOS 130, if we change bios version, system will collapse and have to reinstall it. Reproduce step: ---------------------- 1.boot or reboot 2.echo freeze > /sys/power/state 3.resume, then machine will shutdown
I retested it with i915 unloaded, the issue happens anyway..So maybe it's not our bug?
I'll close it as notourbug, and let's verify with next BIOS.
Closing old verified.
