Both sets of numbers automatically changing into webdings font.

Problem description:
I was creating a spreadsheet with comparison figures and using webdings to create up and down arrows (webdings 5/6). After this update, the numbers in the cells either all turn into webdings characters, or after I save and exit, turn back all into Arial font.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Type any 2 sets of random numbers in a cell with a space in between.
2. Select and change one set of the numbers into webdings font.
3. See all the fonts change into webdings.
4. Go to sheet 2 and back to see the numbers in correct font.
5. Save and exit. Re-open the file to see that the format of both numbers has gone back to default font

Current behavior:
Different font formats in one cell does not work.
Expected behavior:
To retain the different font format in a cell.

Operating System: Ubuntu
Version: 4.1.0.1 rc
Last worked in: 4.0.4.2 release

Screnshot with both fonts mixed in the same cell

Hi Adren thanks for reporting,

I can not reproduce with:
Win 7x64 Ultimate
Version: 4.1.0.1 Build ID: 1b3956717a60d6ac35b133d7b0a0f5eb55e9155
Comment 2 Urmas 2013-07-04 23:49:30 UTC
Apparently the fonts are displayed wrong after editing that cell (or just going into edit mode and cancelling), at least until next repaint.
Comment 3 Jean-Baptiste Faure 2013-07-14 03:53:16 UTC
I do not reproduce with Version: 4.1.1.0.0+ (Build ID: 6180917f2d8280f643b14a69abdca79d91820f8) under Ubuntu 12.04 x86-64 with Gnome-shell.

Please could try with the RC2 which is now available?

Best regards. JBF

Hi guys, thanks for the comments. Due to my work requirements, I had to roll back to V4.0.4.2 which works fine.

Marking this "alternatively" SOLVED. Apologies.
