Description mikey 2013-07-19 08:15:24 UTC
The xf86-video-intel (2.21.11-1) driver shows only 2 colours - red and black - on VGA output on i915 card for recent kernels (current 3.9.10-1).

I imagine this is related to the introduction of limited colours for i915, but that's just a guess. Except that there only appear to be 2 colours red and black making navigating the screen impossible.

This is VGA going to a LCD Televion KDL-32S2010.

sna: Always read back the gamma, even for a inactive CRTC

Even if the CRTC is inactive, we still need to initialise the gamma
    tables.
