I just noticed this bug after the most recent update. After about 5 or 10 minutes the cursor will start constantly blinking and the program (writer) is locked up. I can't continue to write or even use the tool bars. I must write click to save all and then all works till next time. Martin Priddy
- did you install any LO specific extensions? - do you reproduce this with a brand new file or just with specific files? If only with specific files, could you attach the file to the bugtracker by using this link (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?bugid=68625&action=enter)? - for the test, did you rename your LO directory profile (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile) and give it a new try?
Created attachment 84938 [details] attachment-19084-0.html Hello bugzilla-daemon@freedesktop.org, I have not added any extensions. It happens after about 5 minutes or so no matter what I am writing. I am enclosing simple title page my daughter was trying to do for school. After about 5 minutes or so the cursor just starts flashing and it won't stop till is either hit the close or save button between cursor flashes. This appears to have started after the most recent update. I am haven't done any word processing for a while because of summer so I do not no for sure but I think it stated in the passed month or so. Created attachment 85301 [details] bt from Out of bounds substring access On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I had an "Out of bounds substring access". I don't know if it could explain the problem encountered.
Created attachment 85302 [details] another bt about disposing stuff on closing Writer Again, I don't know if it's related but perhaps it might be interesting.
Cédric/Michael: I haven't reproduced the case but I attached 2 bts, one is about "Out of bounds substring access". Would one of you have some time to take a look?
@martinandines does your bug happen just with the attached vs.doc document or with any Writer file?
Hello to whom it may concern, This happens with any writer document. It happens in .doc files. I haven't tried it in other Libreoffice programs. I am not a programmer so I am reporting it. If this is the wrong place to report this just let me know.
