We have a certain laptop model that shows a bug with modesetting with a Samsung panel but not LG, and also only on HSW but the same panel works fine on similar hw but with IVB.

Can you please also attach a drm debug dmesg from ivb where this panel works? Just to convert the dp link parameters ...

Also any additional information on the panel, especially whether this might internally have a edp->lvds bridge ...

apparently this was an issue with the ODM display firmware, and the unit is EOL'd, so closing the bug
