netconsole.log

Kernel freezes randomly under normal usage. Pressing the reset button is required.

The hangs occurs randomly, sometimes browsing with chrome, sometimes opening konsole, sometimes using eclipse.

As nothing works after kernel hang, attached is the dmesg output via netconsole.

I'm running kernel 3.11.1 under Archlinux with kde 4.11.1

Did this hardware work reliably with an older kernel? If you can find a reasonable reproducer, can you do a bisect?
Comment 4 gorilla.maguila 2013-09-20 16:47:47 UTC
To be honest never worked before on older kernels. Maybe the title is misleading sorry for that.

If I recall correctly I've switching from the blob to nouveau from to time since kernel 3.0 with the same kernel hangs results. Only this time I wasn't lazy enough to setup netconsole logging and fill a bug report.

Still present in kernel 3.13.5. Is there any log info or trace I can add to help solving this issue?

dmesg hang kernel 3.13.5

I attach another netconsole.log before hang.

I have stripped most of the [drm:drm_mode_addfb], [FB:43] messages inbetween.

Kernel 3.13.5
Mesa 10.1.0
