Using kernel-3.11.2, I've turned on dpm. While the new power saving feature seems to work fine once the system has started, unfortunately it doesn't always boot. When initializing the graphics card, the screen goes white and the system crashes. This seems to happen always when on battery (let's say 100% reproducible), and regularly when on AC.

radeon.aspm=0 doesn't help either.
