If I do not set R600_DEBUG=nosb, then icons and fonts in the panel are white. The panel is set to being transparent, with the blur filter enabled. Tested with rv635 and cayman, xserver-1.14. I'll try to attach a screenshot later.

I finally got around to make screenshots. For this image, I had to use the camera of my mobile phone, otherwise the problem would not have been visible. Note the solid white icons, and the font looks a bit different (also white) from what it should look like, but that difference is hard to see in this picture. There are other corruptions on screen, like on the window decorations but that is not shown here.

This is with R600_DEBUG="".
