Created attachment 87752 [details] seat greetings, I have a HD5450 hooked up to my lcd tv as part of a multiseat setup. every few seconds the feed flickers. usually I use xbmc to view content but it happens with VBox too.
Please attach your xorg log and dmesg output. Does setting radeon.disp_priority=2 on the kernel command line in grub help?

greetings, sorry it took long to answer, it seems that the time between one flickering to another has got bigger, from one every sec I have now one every few minutes. this might be related to the fact that I'm running mesa, libdrm and xf86-video-ati from git an update them every week. anyway, here are dmesg and xorg log (I was sure I attached it but it seems that i didn't). I'll try now with radeon.disp_priority=2 and report back.

tried with radeon.disp_priority=2, screen still flickers, this time much earlier. trying with the patch and without radeon.disp_priority=2
with the patch applied it still flickers, moreover it might have increased the rate of flickering. not sure if it is relevant but I use a 10 meters cable to connect the tv to the computer
