Bug detailed description:
-----------------------------
The BYT machine failed to suspend.Even if we disabled i915 driver, this issue still occurs.

Reproduce steps:
-----------------------------
1. boot up the machine
2. echo mem > /sys/power/state
Comment 1 Chris Wilson 2013-10-17 12:35:40 UTC
By disabled, do you mean never load i915.ko?
Comment 2 Jesse Barnes 2013-10-17 15:22:00 UTC
S3 suspend/resume doesn't hang here, but when resuming into X I see corruption and hangs. This didn't occur a couple of weeks ago, so I guess it's time to bisect.

Qingshuai Tian, can you please try to bisect this, if it's indeed a regresion.

Probably related to bug #70558
Comment 4 Qingshuai Tian 2013-10-23 03:25:46 UTC
S3 works well now after we update the BIOS to new version.
The new BIOS version:
     BBAYCRB1.86C.0065.R31.1310162219
     BBAY_IA32_R_V65_31

The old BIOS version: (s3 fails on this version)
     BBAYCRB1.86C.0061.R22.1309171818
     BBAY_IA32_R_V6122_MCU312

It seems that bug #70558 works well now after we update the BIOS version.
