It would be good if the mime type for Autopackage could be in the default db.

Attaching the XML file we're installing with the Autopackage support code.

Given that only autopackage can open autopackage files, it would be best for the mime-type to stay with the application itself. It should also probably be a sub-class of application/x-executable.
