Sandybridge Desktop running Ubuntu 13.10 with the latest drm-intel-nightly kernel from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-intel-nightly/current/ and xserver-xorg-video-intel 2.99.904-0ubuntu2 drivers (latest in 13.10). I can reliably reproduce this hang by going to maps.google.com in Google Chrome and bringing up a complex page (I was using 311 W 34th St, New York, NY as the test) and scrolling around, zooming out and zooming in. This does NOT cause lockups on Firefox, only Google Chrome (not sure why). All Google Chrome flags in about:flags are set to the defaults. Sometimes this causes the GPU to hang, sometimes the entire PC is locked and must be hard-reset to fix (much less likely but the last few times it happened, it's always been when I'm in Google Maps on Chrome).
