Using version 4.1.3.2 on Windows, I cannot replicate.

Try updating LO and reporting whether the problem persists in the new version.

If you still can replicate using a newer version, perhaps attaching an example would help.

Setting NEEDINFO.
Comment 2 enzo 2013-11-06 19:19:37 UTC
Ady, in order to open two spreadsheets and compare them, I need to divide the working area (in Excel are the options: horizontal or vertical).
As you see the split option does not appear, but is mentioned in the help.
The error could be:
the option does not exist and should not be in the help
the option exists and is not declared on the menu

Versión: 4.1.2.3
Id. de compilación: 40b2d7fde7e8d2d7bc5a449dc65df4d08a7dd38

Win 7 Pro SP 1

Best regards

Enzo

Is it possible that you are misunderstanding the usage of "split"?

Split is not related to having multiple windows, but to splitting the working area of one (big) spreadsheet. It has nothing to do with viewing 2 different spreadsheet files (whether for comparison or for something else).

Could you please provide a clear screenshot of your problem? Unless it can be understood and reproduced, this report cannot be solved.

Thank Ady, I understand that it is not possible to see various documents in the same window.
It was then an error on my part, I ask close the incident and apologize for your time.
Again thank you very much.

You can still have 2 windows shown. Open the 2 files you want to see, minimize (or close) all other windows (except those 2) and in your Windows task bar -> right-click -> show windows side by side.

QA should close this as NOTABUG.
