Sample document with table

Writes crashes when merging nonempty cells in table, but also crashes when merging with empty cells in some cases.

A. Open attached sample document:

1. Selects Cell1 and Cell2
2. Merge selected cells via toolbar button or menu
3. Writer crashes

or

B. Open attached sample document:

1. Clear content of Cell1
2. Select Cell1 (now empty) and Cell2 (i.e. yellow cells)
2. Merge selected cells via toolbar button or menu
3. Writer crashes

Merging works in second case when Cell2 is cleared instead of Cell1.

Thank you for your bug report, I CAN'T reproduce this bug running
Version: 4.1.3.2
Build ID: 70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a
and
Version: 4.2.0.0.alpha1
Build ID: c2b9ad37f8a8de9c7dbdd76c86aecf6388107056
on Mac osx 10.9.

Fedora 20 LO4.1.3.2

I can't reproduce this.

Is it worth highlighting that Cell1 & Cell3 are the yellow cells? Not Cell1 & Cell2!
Comment 3 pavelz 2013-11-19 16:37:57 UTC
Sorry for confusion, merging Cell1 and Cell2 works, the crash happens when merging cells in the same column, i.e. the yellow cells, i.e. Cell1 and Cell3.

I am on Ubuntu 12.04.

Can't reproduce this behavior, tested using Mac OSX 10.9 with LibreOffice Version: 4.1.3.2 Build ID: 70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a and Version: 4.2.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: 9c45345a680f7444df251f9403c7d56572380f21

@Bug reporter: you mind to reset your user profile https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Resolving_corruption_in_the_user_profile and give it again a try?

Kind regards,
Joren

(In reply to comment #4)

I have reset my user profile as suggested, but there is no difference in regard, that Writer crashes when merging the yellow cells.

Maybe to add, I have LO installed from launchpad (http://ppa.launchpad.net/libreoffice/ppa/ubuntu), not DEBs from LO site.

I have tried yet in virtualbox on Arch Linux with Enlightenment and no crash happens, so it seems to be related with either Ubuntu or LibreOffice PPA.

Let's try to repro on Ubuntu
Comment 8 retired 2013-11-24 10:53:54 UTC
Ubuntu 13.10, LO 4.1.2.3. Merging of yellow cells in test document works fine.

After installing 4.1.3.2 in 13.10 tested again. Works fine too.

Pavel: please use the deb from LO page.

WORKSFORME.
