Hello @ll, I hope, I have chosen the right component for this bug. If not, feel free to change it :) I discovered the following: 1. Start LO 2. Press <Ctrl>+<O> 3. Open the dropdown menu "File type" 4. Scroll down a little bit and you will see e.g. the entry "%productname% %formatversion% Textdokument (*.sxw)" ... :( If you scroll down, you will see, that this is also the case for other older OOo/SO file formats as it also affects older Calc, Impress, Draw etc. formats ... :( And this seems only in the Germanophone version of 4.2.0.0beta1, as this is not the case, when I switch to the English UI. LO: Version: 4.2.0.0.beta1 Build-ID: f4ca7b35f580827ad2c69ea6d29f7c9b48ebbac7 (parallel installed and with installed Germanophone help- as well as langpack) OS: Debian Testing AMD64 Sorry for the inconvenience and have a nice evening Thomas.
I can confirm it with WIN XP Pro 32bit
Hi Thomas, Perhaps it is a result of an incomplete localization of the UI. I have the same problem with the French langpack on 4.2.0.0.beta1+ (Build ID: 12ebbb7e471d851eec940a47e6737c7c89d0f7f8). Best regards. JBF
According to comment #2, adapted wording of summary.
Hello Jean-Baptiste, *, (In reply to comment #2) > Perhaps it is a result of an incomplete localization of the UI. cloph mentioned this on the Germanophone discuss list, but only, after I have opened this bug ... :( > I have the same problem with the French langpack on 4.2.0.0.beta1+ (Build > ID: 12ebbb7e471d851eec940a47e6737c7c89d0f7f8). Thank you very much for confirming :) Would you be so kind to mention your OS/architecture, please? TIA Thomas.

the en-US strings were changed and the runtime substitution for "%productname%" and "%formatversion" removed; this problem will hopefully solve itself once the strings are translated.
Let's close this one, I don't see the bug in 4.2 RC1.
