Description John K. 2014-01-24 12:22:33 UTC
Weston and Wayland should be designed and support different maximum frames per second processing to match each monitor in a multiple monitor setup.

X11 does not support multiple FPS per monitor. Is this possible for wayland/weston right now? If not, they must be designed to support this feature.

What in Wayland or Weston designs in your opinion does not allow completely independent screen updates and refresh rates?

I think it just works already. In what cases did you observe it does not?

I didn't observe something particular, I just made this report for a heads up. If it is possible and on the way to be implemented or already implemented then just diregard this. Can you confirm that this is possible or implemented?

I think this feature is important.

I think it has worked from the very beginning.

For a bug report, you need to provide some evidence of a problem. For a feature request, would be nice if you can first confirm the feature you want is actually missing.
