Problem description: Entering the AVERAGE function causes an immediate crash. Identified on a spreadsheet created in this version, but believe it may be cause of same problem in a file original created in OpenOffice that can be successfully edited in LibreOffice 3.5.7.2 running on Linux Mint 13, but crashes when edited in this version. It contains an AVERAGE function, but editing other cells, or evening scrolling through it) causes a crash. Using Calc 4.2.0.4 on Windows Vista with all latest service packs and updates. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create new spreadsheet 2. Enter some numbers in a block of cells (eg A1:A10) 3. Enter formula =AVERAGE(A1:A10) Current behavior: Pressing enter causes Calc to crash Expected behavior: Put average of numbers in selected cell Operating System: Windows (other) Version: 4.2.0.4 release
Created attachment 94221 [details] testcase I don't reproduce it on 4.2.0.4 under Win7 64bit I have attached a test case. it doesn't crash if I use the =AVERAGE(A1:A10) formula. could you give it a try?
That's weird. Your test document is fine. I can add the AVERAGE function, and I can load and save it without a problem. But when I create a new worksheet, even with the same data as yours, it crashes. John, trying to nail down some version specifics: - file created under OOo crashes calc in LO under 3.5.7.2 in Linux Mint? - file created in Vista under 4.2.0.4 crashes when the average function is used? For reference I have tried this with 4.2.0.4 and Fedora 20 & Windows 7 with no issues.
Created attachment 94240 [details] attachment-30771-0.html /- file created under OOo crashes calc in LO under 3.5.7.2 in Linux Mint? /No, File created under OOo is fine in LO under 3.5.7.2 in Linux Mint, but crashes under 4.2.0.4 in Vista/. /- file created in Vista under 4.2.0.4 crashes when the average function is used? Yes But the file you sent is fine! This is a brand new installation of Vista on an Acer laptop, with all the updates installed. I tried the following: Created a new spreadsheet in LO 4.2.0.4 in Vista Filled A1:A10 with numbers Saved to USB stick Opened file on USB stick in LO 3.5.7.2 in Linux Mint Added =AVERAGE(A1:A10) Saved to USB stick Double clicked on file in Windows Explorer, and LO crashed, and wouldn't seem to restart Restarted Windows computer and started LO 4.2.0.4 Tried to open spreadsheet: - It crashed - Recovered file and it opened once with Err:522 in the cell were the formula should be - All other attempts to open it just resulted in an immediate crash, even after recovery I've attached this file On 17/02/2014 20:30, bugzilla-daemon@freedesktop.org wrote: > > *Comment # 3 <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75096#c3> > on bug 75096 <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75096> from > Tim Lloyd <mailto:tim.lloyd@gmx.com> * > John, trying to nail down some version specifics: > > - file created under OOo crashes calc in LO under 3.5.7.2 in Linux Mint? > - file created in Vista under 4.2.0.4 crashes when the average function is > used? > > For reference I have tried this with 4.2.0.4 and Fedora 20 & Windows 7 with no > issues. > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > You are receiving this mail because: > > * You reported the bug. >
