Just noticed this when I updated my branch and tried to unblank the display on my Bayley Bay platform.  dmesg says:

[  626.549976] [drm:intel_dp_complete_link_train] *ERROR* failed to update link training

I already tried reverting the vdd force change, no help there.  Maybe the fast & wide commit?

Did you try i915.power_well_disable=0 ? That support just went in and has an effect on the unblank path..

No longer an issue, even after we abuse some of the DPMS bits.

Closing resolved+fixed with verification done by Jesse. Fix done with Revert included in commit 24f3e09.
