Description Jean-Marc Beaune 2006-07-23 11:23:44 UTC
Hi,

Since I migrated from xorg 6.8 to xorg 7.0 (and 7.1 later), I can't use
Ctrl+Alt+FX function anymore, it means I can't switch to text mode (for exemple
Ctrl+Alt+F1) or switch from a user to another.

More information can be found on http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141196

Xorg log showing Fatal server error:
 lockup

I guess this log file was created when I encountered the problem but I'm not
100% sure.

Regarding how X behaves while using Ctrl+Alt+Fx keys, either vertical colored
lines appears on a black screen and it hangs and I can't even use the keybord to
restart the computer, or it displays the graphical login window.
