I am using PDF::API2 to construct simple ( very simple in this case ) PDFs, with some text objects and some images that come from png files. I have noticed for quite a while now that when evince opens these PDFs, the images are corrupted badly - they appear mostly black, with small smears of colours from the original image across the black. If I zoom in & out, this corruption will disappear. However, more importantly, I have just discovered that this corruption occurs *every* time I print from evince. I have tested these PDFs in Acrobat, and they render and print perfectly. I am attaching 3 small PDFs that demonstrate the issue. I can also supply the code that generated the PDFs if required. I am setting the 'Severity' to 'major', as this appears to affect rending / printing of all images in PDFs I've come across. Drop the severity if you disagree.
