The system freezes on X starup.
The kernel log reveals a gpu lockup:
16.840862] nouveau E[     DRM] GPU lockup - switching to software fbcon
[   16.844254] nouveau 0000:02:00.0: fb0: nouveaufb frame buffer device
[   16.844257] nouveau 0000:02:00.0: registered panic notifier

I also have pictures of what the monitor looks like.

Ubuntu 14.04, updated 2014-5-11

Hardware: GT 240, GT215, GDDR5

There is a patch in the other bug that should help, although apparently issues remain.
