Description FurqanHanif 2014-05-17 11:45:50 UTC
i installed ubuntu on my PC and my PC dual Booted , before dual boot audio jack works fine in Windows, but when i installed ubuntu my audio jack won't work anymore in windows. first i thought it's a hardware failure but actually it's some sort of software related issue... i research about this issue on Google and i found that alot of people who dual booted their system has the same issue.
the only way t solve this issue i think is remove AC adapter and Remove Battery , hold Power button for 30 Seconds, and Jack started to work again in Windows.
so i think ubuntu (Pulseaudio) made somekind of starnge changes in soundCard firmware etc , which windows can't understand and which cause that issue...
So i hope you work to solve this issue or atleast Post a Solution of this issue..
See these Thread too for more Info...

I'd venture a good possibility is simply the hardware gets into a state the windows driver doesn't expect (ie, strictly speaking, a bug in the windows audio driver).
Comment 4 FurqanHanif 2014-05-18 05:05:54 UTC
Then why you don't you tell your software to do that type of hardware changes which windows can Understand..
Comment 5 Raymond 2014-05-19 00:31:53 UTC

!!Alsactl output
!!--------------

--startcollapse--
--endcollapse--

your output seem missing output of alsactl which contain the value of headphone and hdmi jack detection controls,

!!Amixer output
!!-------------

!!-------Mixer controls for card 0 [PCH]

alsa-info.sh: line 143: amixer: command not found

strange that you have not installed aplay/amixer

/sys/class/sound/hwC0D0/init_pin_configs:

0x0f 0x400000f2
0x11 0x400000f4

/sys/class/sound/hwC0D0/driver_pin_configs:

the driver does not fixup any pins.

GPIO: io=0, o=0, i=0, unsolicited=0, wake=0

Does your notebook have any Mute button or Mute LED ?

loopback mixing is not enabled by default so the audio mixer can be powered down for saving power , headphone and speakers are directly connected to the audio output instead of through audio mixer node 0x1b

stereo mixing (record signal from node 0x1b) is also disabled when automic selection is automatically enabled for notebook

 Pincap 0x00010050: OUT EAPD Balanced

speaker pin complex support EAPD and Balanced

Solved or Not??
Comment 14 Raymond 2014-05-24 01:00:49 UTC
it is not a pulseaudio bug

as there is no pin fix up by the drivers

the cause may be the power states after warm boot , unsolicited gpio or those vendor specific verbs

why do driver enable unsolicited but none of gpio is enabled

State of AFG node 0x01:
  Power states: D0 D1 D2 D3 D3cold S3D3cold CLKSTOP EPSS
  Power: setting=D0, actual=D0
GPIO: io=3, o=0, i=0, unsolicited=1, wake=1
  IO[0]: enable=0, dir=0, wake=0, sticky=0, data=0, unsol=0
  IO[1]: enable=0, dir=0, wake=0, sticky=0, data=0, unsol=0
  IO[2]: enable=0, dir=0, wake=0, sticky=0, data=0, unsol=0
