PDF that displays improperly in evince

The attached PDF displays improperly for me under evince 3.4.0, using poppler/cairo 0.18.4.  Some of the black outlines are missing under evince.  Use Adobe reader to see what it is intended to look like.

This PDF was produced by exporting a PDF from R, running pdfcrop, and then including that PDF in pdflatex.

Correct, some of the outlines on the right are missing, works fine with splash/Okular renderers

patch in bug 66229 fixes this
