See attached a screenshot. Up is 4.3 beta, down is 4.2. While 4.2 had high DPI rendering of fonts (including fonts in the UI) 4.3 does not. Note that this is partly related to Bug 51733 and Bug 51735 (both dealing with high DPI display problems on OS-X), although this actually has worked in a previous version of LO.
