Description Caleb Cushing 2006-08-24 00:55:58 UTC
I'm trying to get dual monitors working with 2 cards. one is a radeon 8500 the
other is a radeon 7200 (maybe. it Identifies as a radeon however is says rage on
the card itself, go figure). lspci output

01:07.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon R100 QD [Radeon 7
                                                                200]
02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon R200 QL [Radeon 8
                                                                500 LE]

I've tried using the ati radeon and r128 drivers. none of them seem to work for
the 7200.

Xorg.0.log.old from X -configure

I tried using X -configure to create xorg.conf. although it seems to have
miraculasly detected the card and it's monitor it created a completely unusable
xorg.conf. I even tried merging the bad sections of mine with it. I'm attaching
the Xorg.0.log from the X -configure to in case it can be of help for my issue.

Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future.

Your xorg.conf is broken. Delete the Screen lines from the Device sections.
