Description IvanXie 2014-07-02 14:48:53 UTC
Dear developer,

There is no remap method for 8bit mono sound.
PulseAudio server would be crashed during playing 8bit mono sound with stereo sink.
Could you please add 8bit remap support?

Thank you very much.
Comment 1 Raymond 2014-07-03 02:55:50 UTC
you have to provide step to reproduce the bug
Comment 2 IvanXie 2014-07-03 03:16:24 UTC
1.My default sink is a 44.1kHZ 2 channels 16bit alsa sink.
2.Play a 8bit 44.1kHZ 1 channel sound on my default sink.
3.PulseAudio server crashed at remap.c

Please check below PULSEAUDIO crash log.
log.c: pa_log_levelv_meta(444) > [alsa-sink-MultiMedia1 (*)][pulsecore/remap.c:109 remap_mono_to_stereo_c()] Code should not be reached at pulsecore/remap.c:109, function remap_mono_to_stereo_c(). Aborting.

Hi,

What version of PulseAudio are you using? Can you try a later version and see if it has been fixed? The source code seems to have changed.
