x11perf, firefox, cairo, moving windows are all slow (orders of magnitude) and judders. Even other compute tasks and remote access is slow and shows latency spikes. It's horrible.

My solution would be to disable the cmdparser, at least for privileged clients...

Hmm, now this is annoying. Updated to current -nightly and the issue no longer manifests. I feel like I am going crazy as it was sorely broken before...

Oh well, until it happens again.

I fixed this by bypassing the cmdparser in X and by speeding up the cmdparser in the kernel. It is *still* slower, obviously, but past the point of diminishing returns.
