GUI crashes, sometimes kernel panic occurs.
Comment 1 pkisdar 2014-07-20 09:12:06 UTC
I got the answer for my last submission that this is fixed in 10.1.5 or above. I upgraded to mesa 10.3, but seemingly the same thing happens.
Comment 2 pkisdar 2014-07-21 07:20:43 UTC
Ok, now, I switched back from kernel version 3.13.0-32 to 3.13.0-30 and the problem disappeared, while using Mesa 10.1.3.
Comment 3 Chris Wilson 2014-07-21 07:30:28 UTC
Congratulations! You have won a prize... If you can narrow this down to a single commit (using git bisect) then figuring out the cause will be much easier.
Comment 4 Imre Deak 2014-09-17 09:49:19 UTC
pkisdar, could you do the bisect Chris asked? If the kernel crashes with BUG,WARN,panic attaching the dmesg log would be also helpful.
Comment 5 pkisdar 2014-11-03 22:32:25 UTC
Honestly, I have no idea what bisect is. But I installed new kernel now, and deleted the older one (since I simply forgot about this problem, after not using this machine for months) and the problem also appeared with kernel 3.13.0-39.
Comment 6 Mika Kuoppala 2014-11-04 14:55:20 UTC
pkisdar, please read https://wiki.debian.org/DebianKernel/GitBisect
Comment 7 Daniel Vetter 2014-11-26 16:29:50 UTC
We need that bisect to move on, but that doesn't seem to happen. So closing.

Please reopen if this is still an issue and if you have the bisect result, thanks.
