Description Obiwan72 2014-07-26 17:44:34 UTC
I am observing this bug already at least since 2012. Now using 4.2.4.2.

Document 1 page header: different than pages 2 and following
Company logo image in header on pages 2 and following.

1. save document
2. exit libreoffice (writer)
3. restart libreoffice (writer)
4. load document
=> company logo that is supposed to be in the header only as of page 2 is suddenly also on page 1.

Is it reproducable? Yes, but not reliably.
Comment 1 Joel Madero 2014-07-26 19:24:55 UTC
Unfortunately without more information we'll have to place this in NEEDINFO.

1. What OS
2. Please attach a document that demonstrates the problem
3. With your point of "not reliably reproducible" is really tough for our team to do anything with - how often is this happening?
4. Please describe the steps that you take to make it so a logo is supposed to be only on page 2? Do you setup page styles? By default a header goes onto every page unless you take additional steps

Once you answer the above and attach a document please set to UNCONFIRMED. Thanks!

Hi :-)

1) OS: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS AM64
2) Document is attached
3) Reliability: I was able to reproduce it today evening reliably everytime I restarted Libreoffice writer and reloaded the document. The logo (Radiofit) is back in the header on page 1 even though it was deleted before the document was saved.
4) Steps for adding the logo:
a) Created footer
b) placed cursor into the footer
c) insert image from file
d) went on page 1 footer
e) clicked on Header (Default Style) -> unchecked same content on first page
f) deleted "radiofit" logo in header
g) save
h) close application
i) restart application
j) reload document
k) "radiofit" logo is back on page on header
Comment 3 Obiwan72 2014-07-26 20:16:56 UTC
sorry, I meant: logo is back on page onE header
Comment 4 Buovjaga 2014-11-26 11:53:10 UTC
If I delete the logo in the first page header, save & reopen, it stays gone.
Please test with 4.3 or 4.4 beta.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.

Hi Beluga,

Thanks for having taken a look into this. We are currently on version 4.2.8.2 and hence can't reconfirm your testing, yet I have no reasons to doubt your results based on 4.3, respectively 4.4 beta.

I have changed status to "resolved".

Again, thanks.
Comment 7 Buovjaga 2015-06-08 15:19:06 UTC
Well, I will change to WFM. You can set back to UNCONFIRMED, if you still see this is 4.4.
I encourage you to test: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel/Linux
