Description Marcin Kurek 2006-09-09 12:16:45 UTC
I noticed this some time ago, but now found a free minute to report. Recent git
snap of xf86-video-ati lockupsthe machine after server start (Only sysreq reboot
was possible) After startx the console switchs to vt7, but it doesn't enter to
gfx mode (I still can see cusor in left corner of the screen) and system reacts
only to sysreq reboot.

I was unable to locate any suspicious things in the log (Attached) but it seems
the xf86-video-ati 6.6.2 works fine here. Then I guess the faulty change comes
from caaed927a07ffbac68b08246185ef93c1e7bb98c
(http://gitweb.freedesktop.org/?p=xorg/driver/xf86-video-ati.git;a=commit;h=caaed927a07ffbac68b08246185ef93c1e7bb98c)

I guess this can be PPC related (My machine is Pegasos II computer with G4 1GHz
and Radeon 9000 64/128/DVI/VIVO)
