With the following fstab entry, mounting on boot and unmounting on shutdown is Ok under a wired connection.

//nas/svol /home/hubert/svol cifs credentials=/home/hubert/.smbcredentials,noauto,nofail,x-systemd.automount,x-systemd.device-timeout=10 0 0

When switching to a wifi connection, mounting is Ok, but on shutdown, a timeout occurs on unmounting the share.

Sounds a lot like your network managing solution lacks some ordering towards network.target.
