Problem description: Steps to reproduce: 1. open a database - ok 2. Exrtras - Makros - Makros verwalten - LibreOffice Basic - ok 3. Choose Database and select a macro - ok 4. click Edit macro - crash kind regards harald Operating System: Windows 7 Version: 4.3.0.4 release Last worked in: 4.2.6.2 release
Could confirm this, special for macros, which are saved in the database-file. You have only to open Tools → Macros → Organize Macros and chose a macro in the database-file for editing. LO crashes immediately. Tested it more than one time. May be about 10% the macro would be opened for editing. If I chose a macro saved in MyMacros, not in the database-file, it works. I have tested with different LO-versions. Seems to work last with LO 4.3.0.0beta2. So I set the version to 4.3.0.1. Then I have changed the user-profile and let it create new by LO 4.3 - no crash appears any more. Same user-profile worked with many LO-4-versions I have installed for testing without problem. Don't know what had been changed in the profile ... My system: OpenSUSE 12.3 64bit rpm Linux.
On pc Debian x86-64 with 4.3.2 LO Debian package, I don't reproduce this. However, I must recognize it's almost a brand new profile. Harald: could you zip your LO directory profile, see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Windows, and attach it to the bugtracker by using this link: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?bugid=82722&action=enter ?
Created attachment 107739 [details] My LO directory profile (zip-file) for about 5 days I use LO 4.3.2.2 and Base works well. The bug do not appear, no crash happens. Nevertheless I attach my LO directory profile. Thanks for your request.
Harald: if the bug hasn't appeared since 5 days with the LO directory profile you attach, I don't think I'd be able to trigger the bug! :-) BTW, I noticed 2 profiles: "4" and "4-suse, is it normal? Robert: if you still reproduce this quite easily, could you attach your LO directory profile?

It's normal when you install the packages from OpenSUSE and the packages from LO. The profiles were saved in different folders. > > Robert: if you still reproduce this quite easily, could you attach your LO > directory profile? Couldn't reproduce it since I had deleted the user-profile. Have worked with some macros today without any problems in LO 4.3.3.1
So let's put this one to WFM. If one of you reproduce this, don't hesitate to reopen this tracker and attach the LO directory profile (zipped! :-))
Created attachment 107744 [details] My old 4.3.0 LO user directory (Windows) I better look twice .. I found my old Windows LO-User directory (backup-file). That one, that crashes most of the time by editing macros. I hope it is helpful for you.
Harald: I retrieved your LO directory profile and tried without reproducing the crash. I must recognize the macro was empty since it was a brand new file. Would you have an example odb file so we can try to reproduce the crash? Also, I noticed the extension XRaytool. This one might be the cause or at least triggers the problem. Anyway, for the moment, I'll reopen it.
Created attachment 107758 [details] example odb I attach an example odb. It is from LO-Base Forum. I started it 5 times, crashes by editing the macro: 4.
I use XRay-Tool in all other versions of LO and do not notice any problems. I don't think that is's the reason for the crashes.
Comment on attachment 107758 [details] example odb I forgot to mention: I reinstalled LO 4.3.0.4 and then testing the forum odb file.
On pc Debian x86-64 with 4.3.2.2 LO Debian package + provided LO profile, I don't reproduce this. Harald: could you give a try to last LO stable version 4.3.2 (not 4.3.0)? Then install 1 by 1 your extensions (I think about XRayTool) + make your customizations. BTW, it's not because XRayTool has been working until recent LO version that there couldn't be some incompatibilites with last LO versions.

I renamed the user-profile directory in Windows 2. then installed LO 4.3.2.2. from LO Homepage 3. installed step by step the extensions, including XRay-Tool. 4. in each step I opened the example odb and tried to edit the macro no problem, no bug. It works well, have a look at comment 3. Only LO 4.3.0.x will crash immediately by editing macros. As far as I'm concerned, we can close this one.
Thank you for your feedback, I put it WFM then.
