Got this random gpu lookup. Nothing special was running, just firefox and a few xterm.

Ubuntu 14.04. With Oibaf PPA.
Radeon 7870 (Pitcairn)
kernel 3.17.0-rc2

That's a known issue. Make sure your kernel has patch "drm/radeon: save/restore the PD addr on suspend/resume".
