Running Fedora 21: ibus-wayland-1.5.8-2.fc21.x86_64 xorg-x11-server-Xwayland-1.16.0-3.fc21.x86_64 libwayland-server-1.5.91-1.fc21.x86_64 libwayland-cursor-devel-1.5.91-1.fc21.x86_64 libwayland-cursor-1.5.91-1.fc21.x86_64 libwayland-client-devel-1.5.91-1.fc21.x86_64 gnome-session-wayland-session-3.13.3-2.fc21.x86_64 libwayland-client-1.5.91-1.fc21.x86_64 wayland-debuginfo-1.5.91-1.fc21.x86_64 mesa-libwayland-egl-10.3-0.rc1.20140824.fc21.x86_64 wayland-devel-1.5.91-1.fc21.x86_64 xchat-gnome-0.26.2-16.git40c5bf988.fc21.x86_64 URLs in xchat-gnome highlight when you mouse over them, but clicking does nothing. If you right-click, a menu appears, which suffers from #83438 , but does work with keyboard interaction (so you can right-click and do keyboard down, enter to open a link).
Note that I sometimes have to click URLs in xchat-gnome up to three times before it takes effect, even on Xorg. Third time's the charm, as they say. ;)
Me too, but this isn't that. They don't work no matter how many times I click. (FWIW, ctrl+click seems rather more reliable than bare click in X11).
Sounds like https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=754983 Basically gtk+ supporting different backends, gio was trying to set the wayland display for X11 apps, which they did not really understand... Fedora 21 is old now, does it still happen with a current version of gnome/gtk+/glib/mutter/Xwayland/firefox, in a word F24?
I *think* this was working normally (i.e. it worked if I clicked enough goddamn times) while I was running Wayland on F23. I stopped doing that recently because of https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=758958 , which makes me want to punch things.
Marking as fixed, please reopen if this isn't the case.
I've no idea, I switched to hexchat years ago :)
