[ 2.846893] [drm] drm/i915 developers can then reassign to the right component if it's not a kernel issue.

System hangs on boot when this error is found. I can turn off the PC and restart it and it will work fine. FYI...sometimes system will hang on shutdown also, but not sure if it's this same error.

OS is Linux Mint 17: 3.13.0-24-generic #47-Ubuntu SMP Fri May 2 23:31:42 UTC 2014 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux

It's just a conflict with the BIOS during takeover. It should be resolved with more recent kernels. If you have any more unusual symptoms please let us know, and if you can get some information about the hang upon shutdown, I am sure that will be useful for somebody..

Hi

Were you able to test a more recent Kernel to confirm it works?

Can we close this bug?

Thanks,
Paulo

timeout. Feel free to reopen if you are still able to reproduce on recent kernels updating new logs.
