Test case to reproduce error

Hi LibreOffice-Team!

I have a master document with some 10 subdocuments with a lot of figures and a total page-count of about 80 at the moment. Since the document has grown beyond about 50 pages, Writer inserts empty pages at seemingly arbitrary positions in the master document, particularly when exporting to PDF. Doing several “Tools → Update → Update All” in the master document seems to insert more and more empty pages.

The document contains several “full-page figures”. The images of these are contained in frames, which are set to have a top and bottom border of 148mm and are anchored to an empty paragraph. I got the feeling, that these cause the trouble, even though they shouldn't in my understanding.

I have created a test case for you, in the hope it helps you to help me ;-) In the attached “master.odm” the file “slave.odt” is linked 10 times to create a large enough document. The “slave.odt” contains six full-page figures and two text pages. If the two text pages are deleted, everything works fine: No unwanted empty pages in “master.odm”. Both documents are based on the attached template “Thesis.ott”. The template contains the custom Frame Style “Rahmen ganze Seite” which is what I've used in “slave.odt” to format the full-page figures. The “master.pdf” illustrates the problem: It contains 92 pages, but should only have 81 (1 initial page and 10 times “slave.odt”, with 8 pages each).

I'm using LibreOffice 4.1.6.2 410m0(Build:2) on Debian testing.

Thank you for your effort,

Holger Schmithüsen

PS: I assume these posts are dealing with the same issue:

And two more, in German though:

Just updated to LibreOffice 4.3.1.2 430m0(Build:2), same result.

Well - if the other ones are the same issue. Marking as a dupe.
