nice to hear that. correct status is WORKSFORME
I am reopening this bug report as a result of further investigation. Also note that I have not restarted my system in the past week or so since my original bug report on this subject. Spell check works properly for files (writer and calc) which were created using version 4.2.6.2 or earlier under version 4.3.0.4. Spell check does not work for files created under version 4.3.0.4.
TESTING with LO 4.3.2.2 + Ubuntu 14.04 (In reply to Richard A Blaine from comment #4) > ...Spell check does > not work for files created under version 4.3.0.4. When I type 'ffool' in Writer, the word is underlined with a red 'squiggle'. Richard: Did you reset your UserProfile, as tommy suggested? I'd also try our latest release and see if the problem is present there: https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If you're still experiencing the problem after those changes, please make a note and change the status back to 'UNCONFIRMED'. Thanks!
10/20/14 Back from vacation. Installed LO 4.3.2.2 and ran tests with following results. 1) Create new spreadsheet and document within LO 4.3.3.2.2 - spell check works fine 2)Create new spreadsheet and document using NEW under Windows Explorer - spell check does NOT work. 3) Open existing spreadsheet and document which was created prior to LO 4.3.0.4 - spell check works. 4) Open existing spreadsheet and document which was created within LO 4.3.0.4 - spell check does NOT work 5. Open spreadsheet created under LO 4.3.0.4, copy and paste into spreadsheet created by LO 4.3.2.2 - spell check works. I did not alter my user profile. Bottom line - spellcheck works under LO 4.3.2.2,
