Test on both BSW RVP FAB1 and FAB2 board, with latest drm-intel-nightly branch kernel: 2014_10_24/drm-intel-nightly/6f628cbf2f18ac47e8afad50e3c328bbc33754d2 The steps to reproduce are: 1. Shutdown machine, and connect DP and EDP panel 2. power on and observe 3. after start kernel: only edp has signal, DP monitor no display.
My finding. if (boot OS with DP) { DP doesn't work } else if (boot OS without DP) { if (console switch to login screen){ DP works once plugged in } if (console stay on the log screen){ DP doesn't work, unless switch VT manually (ctrl+alt+F2~) } }
DP issue has been fixed, after verified latest (2014-10-30)-nightly branch kernel: Kernel: (drm-intel-nightly)bd21cf795cf5dc278f1451d0f7a597cb1d13c2ba when edp+ DP connected, and boot up system, DP is working.
Closing old verified.
