I'm using the nvidia 9625 drivers and I've observed that undirecting fullscreen
windows doesn't work with COW, but given how I understand the COW is
implemented, the drivers should make no difference.

When a window goes fullscreen, the display appears to freeze with no updates
visible. Only when I force redirection back on (usually by popping up a menu)
does the screen update. I assume that what's going on is that redirection is
being turned off but the COW is left visible in its last rendered state and on
top of every other window.

When I run compiz without COW, unredirection works fine.

Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future.
