For me not reproducible with LO 4.3.3.2, Win 8.1.

Which Operating System are you using?
Comment 2 Formaint'Info 2014-11-13 11:30:59 UTC
Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately the 4.3.3.2 label is not in the version list above but I use this one.

I use Linux Ubuntu 14.04.1 64 bits.
Reproductible also on 12.04.5 64 bits.
I've installed LO with the ppa.
This evening I'll try on Windows 7.

I confirm that there is the same problem on Windows 7 Pro 64 bits.
With LO 4.2.7 the hyperlink window is closed.
In my screenshots you can see that with LO 4.3.3.2 the hyperlink window isn't closed and the text field is deleted.

Thanks for your retesting. This helped me and I found why I could not reproduce it yesterday. It is really strange because it is depending on the way you select the text.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open WRITER
2. In the first line write "Test1"
3. In the second line write "Test2"
4. Now make a double mouse click on "Test1" to select it
5. Go to INSERT -> HYPERLINK
6. In the Target field write any webpage address
7. Press the APPLY button two times

Interim Result: After the first time the hyperlink is inserted and any further pressing of the APPLY button has no further effect.
-> No Bug

8. Now go the second line and at the beginning of the word "Test2" make a left mouse click and move the mouse to the right to select the word "Test2"
9. Go again to INSERT -> HYPERLINK
10. In the Target field write any webpage address
11. Now press the APPLY button once

Interim Result: The entry in the Text field is deleted and the hyperlink is inserted.
-> Bug

12. Now press the APPLY button a second time

Result: The word "Test2" in the document is replaced by the webpage address.

Reproducible with LO 4.3.3.2, Win 8.1.

Thanks for your retesting too.

Still reproducible with LO 4.3.4.1, Windows 7.

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version of LibreOffice (5.0.5 or 5.1.2 https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the version of LibreOffice and your operating system, and any changes you see in the bug behavior

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System

Please DO NOT

- Update the version field
- Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
- Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so:

1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3)

http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug

3. Leave a comment with your results.

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to "inherited from OOo";
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add "regression" to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=libreoffice-qa

Thank you for your help!
