--silence-errors has the same help message as --print-errors :

  --print-errors                                 show verbose information
                                                 about missing or conflicting
                                                 packages
  --silence-errors                               show verbose information
                                                 about missing or conflicting
                                                 packages

And BTW this does not tell which one is the default.
