Or, otherwise expose which kind of data interface will need to be used. This is to avoid e.g. requiring "PPP settings" (like PPP echo enabled and the such) in the profile configuration to be used in the modem. Note that some settings that are considered PPP-only (like auth method) are still applicable in modems not using PPP (i.e. it would be ModemManager, not pppd the one using those).
I think Dan suggested to fully remove the PPP settings page in the connection editor; so we're probably fine without this change.
