==Bug detailed description==
-----------------------------
It causes <3>[ 993.707284] [drm:intel_dp_start_link_train [i915]] *ERROR* too many voltage retries, give up" on drm-intel-nightly kernel when run automation testing. run the binary, I am unable to reproduce the fail. I am not sure which case impacts it.
Following cases also has this error:
igt/kms_flip/flip-vs-dpms-off-vs-modeset
igt/kms_flip/flip-vs-dpms-off-vs-modeset-interruptible
igt/kms_flip/single-buffer-flip-vs-dpms-off-vs-modeset
igt/kms_flip/single-buffer-flip-vs-dpms-off-vs-modeset-interruptible

==Reproduce steps==
----------------------------
1. Run full igt
Comment 1 lu hua 2015-01-06 06:29:05 UTC
igt/kms_flip/bcs-flip-vs-dpms-interruptible also has this issue.
Comment 2 Rodrigo Vivi 2015-01-21 23:49:51 UTC
both test cases works well for me on latest -nightly. Could you please try latest -nightly?

does it happens only with full run of igt?

What output are you using? DP or eDP? Please attach full dmesg with drm.debug=0xe
