Created attachment 112312 [details] Xorg.0.log Tearing occurs near top of the Xv video window when "TearFree" option is not enabled. The tear point is relative to the window position, and moves with the window, and is approximately maybe about 16 pixels from top of the window. Attaching Xorg.0.log. Video that shows the problem (h.264 in MKV): http://tnsp.org/~ccr/intel-gfx/tearing-demo.mkv (Taken with Canon EOS 500D from monitor, please ignore the "ghosting" due to frame rate differences.)
I suspect that https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=85983 and this report of mine are about essentially the same problem.
On second thoughts, yes. I originally interpreted bug 85983 as being completely unsynced (the tear would move during replay). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 85983 ***
